Hello Everyone.

I am a 26 year old male and I started to see my scap when I was about 24. Prior to 24 I would always where my hair pulled back with gel and never had any problems. Hair was always plentiful and thick. Since then may hair ahs been getting thinner and thinner with my crown also developing a bald spot. My hair line has pulled back since 24 and the pace seems to be getting faster.

So at notice of onset I started to ask my hair stylist what to recommend. He recommended I start using NIOXIN. The three stage process. The cleanser, the scalp therapy and the leave in treatment. I noticed limited sucess and sometimes I noticed I would go through stages where my hair would look extremly thin, and times where my hair looked like it was coming back nice and thick. I still use the Cleanser to clean my hair but I nolonger follow through the three stages.

My hair line is starting to pull back more and more. I notice a big diffrence in hair loss every 6 months or so. More so in the front area. All the hair at the top of my head in THIN. I use all NIOXIN products including the gel. When I comb my hair forward the top of the head looks pretty full, but if i slick back or spike it up you can see my scalp and its getting worse and noticable. The back of the head seems to be getting worse also with the balding spot getting bigger. I have recently been looking at PROCCERIN. I don't know where else to go at this point.

I asked my dad and he told me he had similar problems at my age. He used some "Placenta extract" from Ialy which worked, and since then he always had a full head of hair. I searched the internet for a similar product that came from italy with Placenta extract and found one and ordered it. I think it has made it worse, so ive stoped using it.

I am fairly new to this world and have been reading some of the posts. I dont know where to start but there was a DHT blocking shampoo, perhaps I can start there?

BTW: I am sure you all have heard of this Italian Scientist from Genoa. Pierluigi Santi He apperantly has found a way through Stem Cell research to cure baldness. Santi's approach works by splitting roots and growing new follicles.

Thank you for all you help everyone.

Those products don't stop anything they are just cosmetic and help volumize your hair. I.E. make it look thicker for a short period of time.

It will continue to progress. There are only 3 options really.
1. Start using products to stop and regrow. I.E. The big 3 or any of the products involved.
2. Transplant.
3. Continue losing and trying to cover it up.
(optional 4th would be do nothing and accept it)

Depending on your situation (pics would help to see progression) start with rogaine... then finasteride or dutasteride if necessary. Shampoos are just good for the regimen and don't REALLY promote any significant help as far as stopping or regrowth. They're more of an added help.

Finasteride or Dutasteride (DHT blocker)
Minoxidil (topical regrowth)
Nizoral Shampoo (partial topical DHT blocker)

Just browse around the forums and read heavily before you jump into anything.

well with my regimen.

I did have some slight sides with dutas. Nothing extreme though. Little bloating. Slight weight gain. Libido is fine. Anything that messes with hormones has potential for sides but if your smart about it you'll be fine... if it lasts longer then a week or 2 then stop it or try to cut back. If you cant lose the sides then just stop the meds altogether it isn't worth it.

No sides on Rogaine or Spectral DNC.
No sides with Nizoral.

start low then work to the heavier stuff.
My case was very aggressive so i had to jump into it head first... but I'm getting excellent results.

ok just purchased the NIZORAL shampoo. Lets see what happens. It says its main objective is to "Kill the fungas that causes dandruff" So how is this helping to maintain or regrow hair?

thanks.

that must be a product in the States? I'm in the UK, never heard of it.

a quick search on google seems to suggest that it's just Minoxidil...

Ok started on Nizoral Shampo 2% about two weeks ago. Going with the once a week regimant now. This saturady went out with the guys and they had taken some pictures. Man looks like my frontal lobe is losing more hair then i thought. Could NIZORAL be causing a shedding period? :freaked2:

Thanks.
