Laser Hair Removal For Removing Inplanted Hair?

Hello,

so...back story... Several years ago I had a hair transplant done. The doctors who did the surgery really should not have had the right to do it. They did an awful job. But I put the fault on myself as I should have done more due diligence. I was just young and naive.

So, ever since the surgery, I have had to shave my forehead of the hairs they implanted. It's annoying. Very annoying. I'm wanting to get them completely removed.

I'm having a micro scalp pigmentation done to cover my scar on the back of the head. I just want to shave my head for now on, and not have to worry about shaving the implanted hairs on the forehead. I imagine a laser hair removal would be the best option for this situation. Would this be correct?

Also, I am in Florida... so I am looking for suggestions on a place I can go to to have this treatment done. I appreciate Any information you can provide. Thank you.

I tried multiple laser applications for removing hair on the back / shoulders and it did not work. Hair strands were probably too thick.
I would not waste my money. This is of course only my experience...

i have had laser hair removal on my legs, my privates, my underarms and my upper lip.

it works but you have to make sure the laser is a good laser (diode are good for instance) you have to also make sure the technician knows what they are doing.

the laser actually works better on people with light skin melatonin and dark hairs.
the thicker the hair the better it works.
you have to go multiple times.

they do now have lasers that they can supposedly adjust for darker skins but be careful wth this and do research
i was burn very badly when i had a tan..it was probably because my skin was bruised by the Sun or sensitive from the Sun OR the color of my skin..but i had these bad burns like leopard marks on my legs for like a year because they pigmented...so be careful do research.

Thanks for your replies. What I was hoping to see is that someone knows how to get rid of implanted hairs. I know there must be someone else in here who had a horrible transplant, and wanted to get rid of the hairs that were implanted. I would imagine that it's best to do a laser hair removal, but I could be wrong.

keep bumping it

i would think the problem with laser hair removal is that you may be killing healthy follicles as well. not just the transplanted. its like a circle with a one inch diameter i would think...like a leopard spot.

Will do, thanks man. Yeah I was worried about that as well. There has to be a solution to this problem though.

Hey WHPH... care to share who the surgeon was? Or at least what region you're in?

Also im wondering if it might be worth it to see another hair transplant specialist and explain the situation. A lot of (good) hair transplant doctors make a living off repairing bad transplants. At least emailing pics and telling them what you want cant hurt.

LOL no worries was just funny thinking men lasering privates
I would love to find a way to completely remove the hair on my c*** shaft. Yes i grow hair there, it's dark and thick. My DHT is off the roof, im hair as f***. I remove the rest of the body with a trimmer but I need ideal smoothness on the shaft and I don't know what to do.

1) Plucking it: This was the best, but after 2 weeks, hairs start growing and I get ingrowths.
2) Shaving: Useless, 24 hours later hairs start growing, ingrows, itch etc.
3) Trimming: Stupid, makes the texture feel like a beard or something

I need to destroy those follicles. Can I buy a laser and do it myself? It's too embarrassing to go to a clinic, not to mention too expensive.

I do not know if those at home lasers work..i mean the laser they use on me is probably like $30 grand.

i am sure some men have gone (even if its just Gay men) for removal..I would not be embarrassed
Of course it depends where you live.

What i WOULD do is talk to a dermatologist who offers hair removal at his practice and confide in him what is going on because in your case perhaps the dermatologist would do the laser removal himself. It's a Dr so why be embarrassed of a Dr especially if it's a man.

You may not need a lot of sessions depending on the type of laser and the density of the hair there, the settings they put.

ITs also not as expensive as it was like 5 to 10 years ago.

It does hurt (like a rubber band snap--i don't mind it but everyones tolerance to pain is different) but maybe if a dermatologist does it they can use topical novocaine (a tech can't really do this--not the cream nor the area--the creams are safe BUT in some weird situations can be dangerous so should be a Dr.)

I found this on internet of a place that does it in VAncouver---so i am sure if you do some research you can find it (depending where you live)

I've had great success with electrolysis. I'm 54, had my first treatment when I was 18 and have been going off and on ever since. I've had treatments on both my face and body. It's far more tedious than laser treatments, but if you have patience and a competent electrologist, I think you will be happy with your results.
