Lasercomb a cosmetic option?

How does the Lasercomb fall under the category of "Cosmetic options to conceal hairloss"? This doesn't make any sense. Sure, it may produce cosmetic results, but so does Rogaine for that matter. You can't "conceal" your hairloss with a Lasercomb. wtf? If anything, wouldn't it be an experimental treatment? Somebody has been smoking some good greenery.

i agree it should be experimental .. atleast untill the FDA results are in and then it can be labled as Proven treatment or just cosmetic

I think it is considered a cosmetic product because the FDA, for the time being, has approved it for safety and thickening only.

Barak hit the nail right on the head. The FDA's official statment right now about the LC is that it is a cosmetic device.

But it has been approved for a medical device in other countries and might get approved here in the US for a medical device...

I still don't understand how it is cosmetic. It may produce cosmetic resultes, but so does Rogaine and Propecia. You put Toppik and Couvre on your dome to "conceal" hairloss, you don't put Rogaine and the Lasercomb on to conceal your hairloss.

Hairport, well stated. LC does not conceal your hairloss but rather helps to resolve it by thickening and improving the hair that is already there.

It's really too early to tell what the results are from the comb for me. I started the comb about two months after I started Xandrox, so that also makes it difficult to tell the comb specific gains. My hair is improving, but I would expect it to be after starting Xandrox over three months ago. I will say the texture of my hair seems to be better.
