Late Story- Stopped hair loss with finasteride

I had massive hair loss in just one year- Sept. 2005-Sept.2006. I freaked out and jumped on finasteride 9/2006. It stopped the hair loss and and made the hairs thicker and darker. I have pictures to prove it. I think some hairs have slowly thinned on just one temple over the years. It has always been a trouble area since the beggining for me.

However, I never believed in Minoxidil. I didn't think it could have that much value. But now after seeing results from this forum. I want to try rogaine.

Do you think I can make an improvement by adding rogaine now after four years of just using finasteride?

minoxidil could do you well in conjunction with finasteride

it looks like your hair is cosmetically fine IMO

i wouldn't put any stock in minoxidil growing lost temple hair however

just a consideration prior to getting on the topical train

Yes I hide my hair loss good. But if I were to wet or lift my hair you see I have bad hair loss.

I can manage. But I wonder if minoxidil will help. I am afraid of shedding.

I am 27 and started loosing hair at age 23. I have been using finasteride past four year. Does it matter if i use minoxidil now? I mean will it be just as effective? What is the likelyhood that I will see regrowth?
