little black bead

If you pull out a hair and see a little black beady looking think at the base, what exactly does this mean? any help would be appreciated. thanks

I dont know for certain but if you PULLED it out, i would think it would mean that the hair was lost before it was meant to ( wasn't in telogen phase) due to stress exerted on it.
