Is it true that if you have long hair, you seem to shed more than you actually are?

Shedding occurs at the same rate regardless of hair length. You probably just notice it more with longer hair because:

A. The hair is longer and therefore easier to see. So it looks like you're shedding more.

B. Longer hair has more leverage and when styling or pushing it back you could easily pull out a number of hairs a lot eariler than they were destined to fall out. This is probably why it looks like you're shedding more with long hair. But the reality is those hairs were going to fall out due to shedding a few weeks later anyway.

Yea, My hairs longer then it's been for the first time since being off propecia, and damn can you ever notice the shed, 20 here 20 there, every bloody where theres hair. It's depressing, if emo is the music for the broken hearted teen, what's the go to music for the balding one :badmood:
