Long-term and short-term side-effects of finasteride

Hey guys, I've been on finasteride for about a month and a half now, just switched over to 1.25 mg Proscar from 1mg Propecia recently.

A few things first-off, tell me what you think: 1.) Since starting finasteride I've definitely noticed an increase in beard growth, starting to grow hairs high up on my cheeks now and very low on my neck. 2.) My hairline is still thinning a bit but this is normal for my aggressive male pattern baldness, and I haven't noticed any dramatic increase or decrease in hair loss yet (I am taking pics and I will post them at some point). 3.) I don't really have acne but I have noticed an increase in large single pimples, which don't seem to heal very well, and have left permanent scars. 4.) Possibly an increase in sexual libido. 5.) Most recently: felt like my heart rate and blood pressure suddenly dropped, which was very uncomfortable, just a few hours after taking the 1.25 finasteride from the Proscar tablet I quartered.

I'm worried about hyperandrogenicity (in which the hair suddenly falls out permanently due to the finasteride) and I wonder if these symptons could be a precursor for a massive shed to come? What do you guys think? Has anyone here experienced any of these symptons before? And what was the result?

Second point: Does anyone know any of the long-term side effects of Finasteride?... There seems to be very little research out there on the long-term effects of Finasteride, which I find very disconcerting. The body is a subtle hormonal instrument and DHT is used in many other systems not related with hair loss. I'm worried that ten or fifteen years down the road I will discover that finasteride has given me liver disease or heart disease, or worse.

Does anyone have any information on the long term effects of finasteride? I think it would be useful for all of us... Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Check the Finasteride Studies section of a website called "propecia" + "help" in Google.
