Hi all,
I've been on hair meds for well over a decade and I was wondering what the longterm side effects could be impacts longterm users. I get stiff joints often and also muscle cramps, but I am also nearly 40.. Can they impact bone loss? Fatigue?

Do we have any data? Also, should we be taking certain additional vitamins or minerals (due to effects on them from these hairloss drugs)?

I would be interested in feedback on the following please:

1. Finasteride
2. Minoxidil (oral and topical)
3. RU58841
4. Estriol
5. Cetrizine

I've been on medication since 98. Started with Propecia. Switched to dutasteride. Added in topical minoxidil, and for the last 2 years added in 2.5 MG of oral minoxidil. I have had no side effects other that increased water retention that I counter with an anti estrogen

Do we know what vitamins and minerals they impact in the body?

Do you annually get checked for any issues? I recently got a prescription, got a year supply of 2.5mg for 120. But have been hesitant to start it. Been on finasteride for 3 years, no issues no sides, hair is the same as when I started.

I do get checked and everything apparently comes out fine. However, I am slightly lower in iron than the average population.

It would be interesting to know if these drugs deplete certain vitamins or minerals over time? Or reduce them, but not enough to show up on annual checkup? Especially as we get older, I bet it starts to slowly impact our bodies.

Can't believe we have such little data on these drugs!

Very interesting, I actually am afraid for any side effects and it gives me anxiety. I would also like to try out some new stuff for me like that from BidRx.com for example. I am pretty sure that you will find something interesting to you there too, check it out and let me know what you think :)
