I live in CIncinnati, OH and I'm looking for the best surgeon within 5-7 hours drive of me.

I have advanced loss so I'm looking for a top quality surgeon that knows what he's doing.

I want a surgeon involved in the entire procedure, not an assistant placing grafts.

I had a test body hair procedure with Dr Wolf in Cincinnati and it was OK, but didn't inspire confidence.

This time, I'm looking for an FUT procedure, strip method, with 2500-3000 grafts and definitely need the best result.

Pricing is not an issue, but driving distance is as I'm not willing to fly somewhere.

I have done some research on Dr. Panine in Chicago. Has anyone heard of him? if so, what are your thoughts?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I would reconsider not flying if you want the best opportunity for a good result. I can't comment on American surgeons , all I know is Dr Konior , or Rahal in Canada are top notch

yeah i saw his work and theyre good. But I've never seen a doctor fully fill out the temple region 100% to a norwood 0.

The only one I know who seems to do that is Dr. U Hair and Skin Clinic

I think you should consider getting FUE. FUE is superior in every aspect. FUT is a outdated practice. It causes a horizontal scar that pulls the skin around you donor and thins the hairs around in long term. There have been discussions of this issue either in reddit/tresless or harilosstalk. As for the yield of transplant the latest reseach shows FUE and FUT are identical in graft survival and the long term outcomes. Last bot not least recovery and ease of operation is much better in FUE operations.
