Losing hair on the back of the head and sides

. I got a skin fade like a week ago in that area, but im wondering if my donor area is thinning,which would indicate that im not suffering from male pattern baldness, but something else. Thanks for the replies i really appreciate everyone's help.

Looks possibly like traction alopecia.
Damn, never heard of this term, thought of maybe retrograde alopecia but again, i hope it is in my head and the flash/skin fade make it look like its thinning while it is actually not. Im starting finasteride in a week so hopefully it works on me

Traction alopecia basically just means you are prone to losing hair due to pulling or rubbing. Based on where your problem areas are, it could come from you or a significant other rubbing your head a lot or even having low quality bedding. It is recommended to have a silk pillow case if you have traction alopecia.
