Losing more hair in one spot on front: good for Rogaine?

Hey all, just started propecia last Monday, and now considering adding some Rogaine.

I basically have diffuse thining, and then some receeding on the front. However, I have much more loss on the right front hairline than anywhere else. The line has probably receeded 1/4 - 1/2 inch further than the left side, and it is now the only part on my hair that still itches (after starting to use Nizoral).

I guess my question is whether Rogaine would be good for a spot treatment on that one spot? I'm not "too" concerned with the rest of my head as of yet, and am hoping propecia will stop the loss within the next few months. However, I am worried about the one spot up front.

Also, if Rogaine would be good, should I go with foam or liquid? 2.5% or 5? Apply just at night, or morning and night?

Also, I was hoping to coincide the Propecia shed with the Rogaine shed. How long does rogaine take to start making you shed, if at all?

Sorry for all the questions, any responses would be appreciated!

I would use the foam, it dries much quicker than the liquid. You could use it just in one spot, although it wouldn't hurt using it all over the hairline for consistency. I'd go with 2x/day if you want regrowth and you might be able to drop it down to 1x/day once you get some results and just want to maintain it. Don't worry too much about shedding, it comes and goes, can't do much about it. Shedding times vary from person to person, but you might expect it as early as 2 weeks in with Rogaine.

Great! Thank you!

Do you think I should go with 2.5% or 5%? I know there isn't much difference between .5 mg finasteride and 1 mg finasteride (although I have switched to 1 mg because I can't ensure .5 mg with a pill cutter...it always ends up breaking too much one way or another)
