I started taking finasteride for 6 weeks on 28/10/18. I came off of it because o side effects and the fact it destroyed my hair in a matter of weeks. Increased hair fall. Dry and straw like to touch. It hit my density massively and it felt as though it was thinning my existing hair. I have black hair but I could see it getting lighter on a daily basis within about two weeks on the drug. It made my scalp itch, and when it wasn't itching, it was burning- a symptom that hasn't gone away despite various medications, along with oily skin and increased body hair. It wiped me mentally- depression and panic attacks which was what made me come off of it in the end
My hair now falls out whenever I touch it, I thought my shedding had slowed but after about 15-20 second gentle massage over the sink, I must have lost about 50 hairs. I lose hair from the back and sides too. It's fucked. I had none of these symptoms before touching the drug
