Losing my temple hair - is there any hope

Hi,

I'm 26 years old, never really had problems with my hair before.

About 2-3 years ago, began noticing some slight thinning up front (on one side) but put it down to stress (no family history of male pattern baldness).

The thinning became more noticeable to me gradually and I went to seek professional help where I was indeed diagnosed with male pattern baldness.

Immediately went on a regimen of Propecia and rubbing Rogaine on the front, 1 ml. every day (I was told there was some slight barely noticeable thinning at the back but I am using the entire 1 ml. on the front as that's what I can see clearly and am more paranoid about). This was about 4-5 months ago.

What I find is that my temple hair seems to be getting worse - the hair out front is growing back and thickening but the temples seem to be thinning and receding.

Is there anything I can do? I've tried rubbing the Rogaine on my temples and I notice a dark fuzzy patch where I rub the Rogaine a lot but funny enough the area half an inch behind is thinning and losing hair.

Some time in the coming weeks I need to go for a follow up and maybe I should start putting Rogaine out back too but again it seems my baldness is pretty mild right now and I'm hoping the Propecia alone is enough for the back.

It is ok to use more than 1ml of rogaine, I would say use it on your temples *and* the hair right behind it so that doesn't receed as well.

I'll keep it brief. Sounds like you got a good plan going on. The thing with temple hair and why it goes so quickly (or appears to at least) is because theres not many ways to hide any of the loss because there's already skin around it. minoxidil can cause a minor to EXTREME shed in the front, but keep pounding it because they more than likely will grow back if not already damaged by male pattern baldness. No worries brah...just keep on course.

Been a long day at work...
