is there a more subhuman combination than this? I started to lose my hair before I could grow pubes on my face. now I'm 27, with a fully regrown nw1, and I can still barely grow a sad excuse for a beard. no finasteride either. maybe I should rub some min on my cheeks

Yep, I started losing hair at 18, got on finasteride at 21 and I can only grow bits of hair above my lip and they're greying too lmao

pathetic isn't it. feels like being pranked by your own genes. sometimes I think, since I hopped on fina relatively young as well ( only for a short time but still ), that I've permanently stunted my beard growth. like I already had signs of good DHT during puberty but no beard. and for many Western men that develops later in life. I'm maintaining on oral min right now and that increased hair all over but not too much on my cheeks.

we should probably relinquish any hope of growing something presentable

@Norwoody does tret and needling visibly increase beard growth? I mean in theory it should simulate growth wherever there are follicles but are there any studies concerning the effectiveness on the face ? good shout tho, should give it a shot

Yeah bald and clean shaven generally isn't a very good look, it's just really bland and empty (not that bald and beard is a very unique look either, but it's better than nothing). I'm slowly but surely gaining facial hair with minoxidil though, fortunately. Hopefully I'll have something decent in a while just in the worst case that I end up bald in the near future, and also just to downplay my current hair loss. I find that facial hair can somewhat minimize milder forms of hair loss like recession and thinning. Not that it hides them but it just doesn't make them as obvious.

Yeah for the past few months I've been pretty consistent and applied it to my face every day (for a year prior I used it on and off and gained a scraggly neckbeard and sideburns lol). I'm seeing some dark hairs in the mustache and goatee region so that's a good thing. I try to put it on twice a day but often it just becomes once.

interesting. happy for you G. you think, since I already use minoxidil orally/systemically, that I'd be worth it to apply some extra to my face ?

Wouldn't harm to try, could be better since it would be a more localized effect. You didn't get any new facial hair with oral min?

I did grow a little. my stache filled in, goatee and sideburns too. but there are big hairless spots on my cheeks and chin. I can see little vellus hairs there though, so perhaps if I apply min directly they'll start to mature faster. they've been there for like a decade at this point. most of the min hair went to my body ( arms/hands, legs and chest mostly ) and my eyebrows.

I'll give it a shot

Hair everywhere except where you want it lol. I kinda had the same a year ago when I was using way too much topical min on my face, the hair on my arms, hands, feet, legs would grow longer. Could have been nice of it to grow my head hair back but noooo can't have nice things.

Good luck on your journey.

I don't know of any studies, but the welshman is getting good results on it.
