Lossing 1/2 inch hairs while on proscar and minoxidil

Hey folks.. just trying to get some advice on what might be happening here with my little min/pros regieme. I've been on 5% min since January/2004 then took up 1/4proscar around June. I was shedding quite a bit before, but now (being about 4 months into the proscar) I've been noticing that all the hair I'm lossing is roughly about 1/2 inch, even though my hair has grown to about 2 inches. Is this a sign of something? Can it be that these 1/2 hairs are shedding to grow into longer ones, or just dying? If they were reseting the growing cycle, this would make sense that most people see results after 6-8 months on proscar.

I was hoping maybe someone else out there has noticed something like this and let me know how it panned out.

Totally normal. Typical shed.

Just keep going and don't stop. That's the fatel mistake!

It's a pretty tough waiting period, just to see if things work. But I'll continue for the full year and see how things are going.
