Lost 30-40 small hairs today, does HIGH HEAT exagerbate hairloss? (pictures inside)

have only been on this forum a week, but I have learnt loads.

learnt NOT to wash hair in hot water from a hair clinic website
but last night I spent 15 minutes in a steam room that was hot

today i noticed loads of hairs come out, about 30-40 instead of the normal 10.

So does heat = stress on hair = hair falling out?

Although the side effects of finasteride (and a doctor) have scared me away from taking it, I can't allow myself to go bald!

finasteride is such a double bind.
- Take it and save your hair, but possible erectile dysfunction, infertility, cancer, and depression
- Don't take it and go bald. Stigmatized for life, looking like a cancer victim. Possibly never marry because unable to attract a decent woman.

Sorry forgot to add, despite my hair looking good in photos, if you look at it with an eye you can see it's very thin.
I have hair miniaturization going on.

Here's what I would do in your position...

Shave the sides / back to a 1, it will allow everything to flow together, take a look at my story for pic examples.

I think external heat may have a slight influence, but DHT is the main enemy.

I'd say start the finasteride @ .25mg per day and don't READ about side effects, just be aware of everything about your
body/energy and if anything seems off then you can stop, but make sure it's not something you are experiencing
NOW before you start. Some people experience ED just because of the way they think as well as chemical/energetic
imbalances before finasteride so there a lot of variables and it's all relative to the person experiencing it.
