Lots of temple vellous after 9 weeks on Spectral DNC

It's been pretty encouraging. I'm a diffuse thinner that's happening in the NW3 Vertex pattern but I've been on Spectral DNC for the last 9 weeks now and have quite a bit of dark vellous on the temples. I certainly hope that these go terminal. It's a pretty big difference if I take a closeup look at the temples but from a distance it still does not yet look to have made a difference.

9 weeks ago I had the true vellous hairs which were very thin and non-pigmented but now they seem to be getting darker and thicker. I know Rogaine's website states that it takes 4 months to notice improved growth. I have 7 more weeks to go to see if the difference is going to be noticeable yet.

Can an educated guess be made that based on the results I'm getting, as described above, I will have a good response to minoxidil after the full year? Or do some individuals exhibit these promising results initially but then not get a lot of terminals back?

I certainly will. Is this a typical response at this point in time with ANY type of minoxidil? I'm just curious if it's the nanosome delivery system along ith the other hair regrowth ingredients that's giving this results. Alas, if not a single of these go terminal than it really doesn't matter if I have the vellous, besides from the fact of saving the follicles until the cure comes out!

I will be adding finasteride to the mix soon as well, whenever my order of Dr. Reddy Finax comes in from UnitedPharmacies so hopefully the possibility of a finasteride shed doesn't impede my progress. I'm still curious why a finasteride shed even occurs though.

It sounds like you making good progress.

I have a few new hairs on my left temple and its been 11 weeks on the liquid. Like you they dont seem to make that much of a cosmetic difference. They really should grow thicker, denser and longer before an improvement is noticeable. I continue to see new hairs growing closer to my original hairline.

At this rate it will be a while before I will see maximum gain from minoxidil I think.

What type of minoxidil are you using? I can tell you that IF this field of new vellous hairs all go terminal I'd have a NW1 again. I know that's best case scenario and probably won't happen but if I can get some to thicken back up, and keep the vellous that'd be fine with me. At least I'll still have the follicles there for when OSH101 comes out in a few more years (or whatever else BEATS minoxidil).

aye same here... i had good immediate response up close you can see the hairs and all.. its been 2 months now but they still haven't gone terminal. Up close it looks good far away you cant tell.
