Low dose finasteride going to 1mg daily … any point ?

I was on 0.5mg daily for 3 and a bit years . Now noticed further thinning on the crown so I’m going to 1mg daily.

My Q is , is there any point ? Do you think going from a low dose to the ‘recommended 1mg’ day will halt hair loss / lead to regrowth or do you think finasteride has become ineffective for me ?

Might as well try. Though I read .5mg and 1mg isn't a major leap
