Has anyone here ever been on finasteride and experienced some sides, dropped the dosage and noticed the sides went away? I was taking 1mg finasteride daily for close to 2 years and it worked wonders for my hair but I had some sexual sides that I didn't want so I stopped, but I want to get back on as it worked so well for my hair. What would switching to 0.5mg daily do?

finasteride has a near-flat dose response thus it doesn't matter how little or much u take, it inhibits nearly same amount of DHT.

As you can see for yourself in graphs taken from official data submitted by Merck to the FDA, even 0.05mg inhibits nearly same amount of DHT as 5mg. What that means is, don't expect much resolution from side effects, even at lower dosage.

Alternatives: quit, or try less powerful internal 5AR inhibitors (likely natural, but less likely to produce results).
