Anyone using lysine? in combination with arginine? results?

I just started on Arginine today. I am intriqued by it maybe giving me a larger 'peter north' load - if it helps the hair too, now that is a bonus (I think I am finally looking at that in the right perpsective hair second, sex first  )

some stuff I found today:

lysine: http://www.neuroreplete.com/Lysine.htm

Patent: http://www.pharmahg.co.uk/m369zoxide3/_ ... 000110.htm

no faith in supplements: http://www.hairtoday.com/qna/SingleExpe ... ExpertID=3

stress - where I think it all really lies: http://www.mmtresearch.com/stress.htm

Hey

Unicron, I think the thinking is that lysine and arginine work to cancel each other out. Do a search on Oxhide, a past user who was very vocal about Arginine (topical and oral), and you'll find a lot of posts where he addresses these issues along with providing links to the studies and research.

But I'm pretty sure that was the conclusion....that they work to cancel each others benefits.....so it's best to use just one and since arginine is the precusor to Nitric Oxhide.....the hair stimulant....I would go with arginine.

There is another product real big in the health stores with body builders it called N02 and it is supposed to be nitric oxide- anybody heard of this. Expensive at $50 a bottle.

EDIT: NO2 is normally refered to as Nitrogen Dioxide, and it is NO2 I was refering to in this thread even though I incorrectly repeated the term Nitric Oxide. /EDIT

NO2 is nitric oxide. It is one resonate/isomer of the anhydride of nitric acid. Like HCl, and hydrochloric acid solution, it burns right through iron. Unlike hydrochloric acid, it is also extremely toxic and much more corrosive to flesh and organic material, and steel alloys, rubber, and gold to a small extent in the absence of a compliment.

I think it's a nickname.

n02 is just a ripoff bodybuilding supplement.

its just some arginine powder basically.

you'd do better just buying arginine in bulk if you want to take that.

My friend is using NO2 for his workout. It's $80 for a bottle in GNC.
I think its the most expensive supplement in GNC.

I asked for Arginine sups at GNc and the guy suggested NO2 saying it was nitric oxide and was selling like crazy. My supp website sells the sh*t for $50 but will it help hair and is it in fact good in the gym? I am going to have to research this one.

Hey

Nikeaddict, just do a search on Lysine. I believe that Lysine and Arginine work to cancel each other out. Arginine can cause a breakout of cold soars if you're predisposed.

No, I was mistaken and Ralphy is right. Was a slip of the tongue because redbone was talking about a product called NO2 and calling it Nitric Oxide. Ralphy is right, NO is normally called Nitric Oxide with NO2 normally called Nitrogen Dioxide.

I was discussing NO2.

I'm have been popping L-Lysine for awhile now and it does make my hair grow faster, other than that I doubt it has any regrowth ability.
