Hi all,

Since around Christmas I've noticed my scalp becoming visible by my side parting. It's most notable in fluorescent light, which I know distorts things a tad.
I've managed to take an close up photo, and wanted your take on it.

For the last 7 or so years I've been going grey (from my fathers side) and I'm wondering if the white/grey hairs are making things appear thinner?

Anyway, here are a few pics, would be keen to hear what you gents think.

Its matured, but I don't think it's receding. I noticed that spot on my crown about 4 years ago and it hasn't gotten any bigger. Hoping its a cowlick of some kind.

Hairline doesn't look that bad.If its really been like that for 4 years I don't understand why you even worry?
Crown area does not look like an average cowlick. It looks thinner. You would probably see how thin it is by buzzing your hair.
Continue taking pictures and If you see that its getting worse start taking action.

I'll definitely do that, thanks man. What I meant was, the crown area has been like that for the last 4 or so year without much change. But I agree It does look like its thinning. I guess I was shocked seeing this parting for the first time.

Its all natural occurrences at the end of the day, as its slow you have some time to introduce treatment and find the least invasive convenient option, the key is not to stress and be rational.

Your hair looks really good actually there are some VERY early signs of miniaturization on some of your follicles, the question is now how fast is that miniaturization going to progress.

Thank you for your replies gents. I don't know why I've been obsessing over it so much. I'll keep an eye on it and post updates if things get worse.

When I pull my hair back I feel like its a lot of scalp. I'm probably neurotic at this point.

Nope, it’s just the way your hair parts. I have a double crown and looks thin when buzzed or long. If you cut your hair to about an inch long I bet your crown looks solid.
