I'm just started to see a good amount of hair recede from my forehead. I was just wondering advice for maintenance of the hair that I have. I have read lot about the different products out in the market but havent came to a conclusion on what I should do. I took 1mg of propecia for about 4 weeks but quit due to side effects. I would probably feel better about using something topical for maintenance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you should have continued. The libido will come back - it's common to get that when you first start on Finasteride.

I would disagree with Quantum Cat.. Merck has stated that sexual side effects are supposed to go away with continued or discontinued use of finasteride which may be true in alot of cases, however there are many men out there who do not recover from these effects in continued use, and even a small minority that continue these side effects even after dropping the finasteride.
Bottom line, Merck seems to be hiding alot of things that unlucky men are finding out.
Personally, I would not get back on finasteride in the best interest of sexual health, but thats just me. You could very well lose the sides after a while, but nothing is for sure. Use with caution.
