Major White Flakes From Kirkland 5%, How To Deal With Them?

Hi guys,

I'm applying Kirkland foam twice daily, and washing my hair everyday as well. However, no matter what I seem to do, I can't get the white flakes/residue off of my scalp after washing my hair.

I read somewhere that a guy took apple cider vinegar, and put it on his head for 5 minutes before showering, and this helped somewhat? Seems a bit odd but I'm open to anything.

Does this happen for every brand of minoxidil or is there an alternative that is better?

What shampoo are you using? Use nizoral, shampoo first thing when showering and leave in your hair the whole time while in the shower..rinse out of hair at end of shower.

Try either dropping your liquid usages to once a day (at night) and/or start using foam in the morning.

I have the same problem. It's the propylene gylcol they put in the liquid forms of minoxidil. Nizoral definitely helps but I still got flaking/dandruff even when using it. I've been trying to make my own minoxidil formula without the PG, haven't got it completely dialed in yet though. But you can switch to the foam, I found the foam for me just gets in my hair and not on my scalp. But I've read of people using the foam by squirting it out and letting it melt and essentially using it like you would the liquid minoxidil as it does not have the PG.

One word: FOAM. That won't cause dandruff. Will make a huge improvement
for your scalp.
