Making Topical Finasteride .1% Solution

I want to make a .1% topical finasteride solution. the consensus seems to be that 1mg of finasterid added to 1ML of solvent = a .1% solution. Can someone please explain to me the logic behind this?

60mg in a bottle of minoxidil is 0.1%.

Yes that seems to be the common idea. But why is 1mg of Finasteride in 1 ml of liquid equal to .1% strength. It seems completely arbitrary

That's because 0.1% is equivalent to 1mg/ml.

Tablets contain fillers so would not give you best absorption, you need pure powder from the Lab.

I use this compounding pharmacy in America called Murray Avenue Apothecary they make me 0.1% in my mixture with 15% minoxidil, they do sell different combinations.

I just throw in 3 Proscar and 2 opened up dutasteride gel caps in my minoxidil with a few shots of 6 essential oils. Hoping for the best!
