I know many people have gone to making their own lotion with aldactone tablets in a lotion of their choice to save on cost, but I am referring to a liquid solution. Can this be done? How is it made?
I've done some searches and really haven't seen a successful aldactone solution created. I found one discussion of it and it led to discussion of strength of the solution with multiple opinions on the side that a lotion will actually be stronger. I'm looking to make a strong topical here, possibly even 25% solution. Most agree that 3-5% is the most you can get from a lotion. But if you can extract the spironolactone using say an alcohol solvent, then you could just boil off the alcohol to make the solution stronger correct?
