Hi!

I was just wondering if I was thinning, what do you guys think? If needed I can post more pictures! By the way i am 20 years old, I did not meant to say male pattern baldness or balding, I meant maturing hairline or male pattern baldness, my apologies.

Thank you!

male pattern baldness = male pattern balding

When has male pattern baldness not meant balding?

Looks like it is molding into a mature hairline to me. A lot of people go to NW2 and don't proceed for years (learned in a college course genetics class). Don't let a bitter person tell you you are balding. If you want to try to conserve the hairline hop on minodixil 2x a day. finasteride is a little sketchy at your level. Learned all of this from the leading hair specialist as well. He did Gronkowksi's brother as well as Wes Welker.

Okay, thanks for the opinion, I won't, is it really a must to do minoxidil? What Norwood is it and are your sure it's not male pattern baldness in this stage just to clarify, although I know you are no doctor:)

no it's not a must to take minoxidil you certainly don't need it if you don't want to deal with applying it all the time. If you want to treat it I would recommend finasteride though

If don't need mindoxil this means i am not balding, what would the finasteride be for to treat. Why use medicine for a disease i don't have. Would it be pure precautional? Or is this something regular? I don't get it?

im guessing you googled it and saw it was for enlarged prostate. finasteride is for male pattern baldness as well. Lots of meds have multiple applications. It is far more effective than minoxidil, especially longterm, and given that your loss is in the early stages in my opinion I think the additional benefits of adding minoxidil in addition to finasteride would not be worth the effort imo for your particular case.

No what I actually meant was male pattern baldness as an disease and not being sure if i even have it, What about the pictures tells you its hair loss, and what stage is it on? Someone else here said it was just mature hairline, other one said male pattern baldness and go on big 3, But none of them actually pointed out what made them think it was hairloss. I mean of course you guys are trying to help and maybe i sound stupid for asking these questions but i don't have any knowledge on this subject.

These are all made this week, and i always have had a thin hair.

The amount of people that say this is staggering. I said the same thing to myself when I was balding (in exactly the same pattern). Am I losing hair? nah, I've always had thin hair... I said that to myself until one day I looked in a mirror and realised it was too late.

The hairline is receeded and the hair seems to be diffusing on top. High chance its male pattern baldness. I'd jump on finasteride and nizoral.

I said the same thing man. I've always had thin hair. Or as it got long, maybe it's just getting thinner because it gets tangled, caught and pulled out. Maybe he does have naturally thin hair, but at the very least I would go see a hair loss specialist and get diagnosed. An ounce of prevention and all that... Wish I could it earlier, but I guess everybody does... I'd get on finasteride.

In my opinion, for sure you have thin hair and mature hairline; you are not longer a child.
It is an important fact: Are your dad or grandparents bald? You must look your genoma history. Had they got the same thin hair as you?

You could be balding or could be not. Nevertheless, I wouldn´t be worry, you already look nice and you are lucky to be blond. I think that the most recommended treatment of the "big 3" in your case at this moment could be Nizoral (Ketoconazol) every now and then. I also have a very thin hair and NW1 and I would recommend you a shorter haircut (it is easier to care) and a modern hairstyle (looks better at thin hairs).

You could give alternative treatments a try as well as get info about haircare because thin hair is very frail.

Or if you are really worry and wonder if starting finasteride or minoxidil is up to you talk to a dermatologist. I wouldn´t start them yet but the decision is only up to you and only after a dermatologist appointment and professional advice. Before starting any treatment go to see a dermatologist. Good luck!
