Hey hey....welcome to my hair loss thread i'm mostly making this thread to keep track of my own jorney through this hell the people in white coats like to call male pattern baldness....pictures of my hair when i started treatment were lost for some dumb reason that no one that uses our home computer would like to fess up to so im gonna upload pictures right away from now on so they dont get lost.... i started diffusing bad at 19 and waited 6 months to get on finasteride just to make sure it was really male pattern baldness causing the hairloss...ive been on it for 5 months now and overall i think its helping me move in a good direction...looking at my pictures it would be good to kno that i have always had thin hair ....i was never able to spike it with out seeing scalp even when i was 13 years old...and my hair line has always been where its at now....its just diffuse now...well thats pretty much it to "my story" cause there's really is none.... im losing my hair and i pray to god propecia can put an end to this dumb adventure... aranoid: ....so feel free to post tips, suggestions and/or comments

my second update....the back in my opinion got more diffuse u can see it in the front picture....the sides and the front i think stayed the same...this are the month 7 pictures (i just finished month 7)...let me kno what u think ...the part that bothers me most is the crown

hey dude,

looks to me like you definitely havent gotten worse from those pics. also it appears as though your temples have become more defined. i mean these pictures are hard to judge from but for 7 months you definitely havent had a noticeable decrease of any sort.

I'm diffuse thinning too, my hair looks alot like your last pic's. Ive been on proscar for two months and am not seeing results either, but I guess two months is too short a time. Good luck.

itsjustaphase: thanks for ur input...i just hoped by now id see some thickening especially at the crown which is i guess y im being harsh with my maintenance

idaho x: two months is def too early to tell ...

You should have someone else take those pictures because they are too close and out of focus. Its hard to tell your progress otherwise. Plus, dont have any shadows on your your head, it can be deceiving. Have a light directly over your head and dont use a flash.

ooooooooook here we go....i took the last guys advice and have been starting to take pictures with no flash and very different, better lighting in my bathroom .... but i only have pictures taken like that from month 10 and 11 so its not gonna help much comparing them with these old ones much.... sooo for old times sake i went back to my old method and took some pictures i was actually really surprised to see that i pretty much stayed the same (which is a really good thing) im almost upto month 12 (in 7 days) and i dont think my crown has gotten better but i really think my left temple, as far as the diffusing goes, got some growth ...i wasnt taking pictures of my temples b4 the right way i started taking better pictures of the problem in my bathroom which i will post eventually but u can see in month 5 and month 11 in the front shot... u can clearly see the piece of hair hanging detached from the rest on the bottom of the screen in the month 5 picture.... in the month 11 picture there is no such detachment.... the hair is together and much less diffuse and the hair is around the same leangth in both....as far as the crown....meh....i still dont feel very good about the results there im still not sure if i went up or down there.... ill keep taking the pics in the bathroom and once enough time has passed to make any judgement ill post those....that was way too long for me here are the pics ...any and all comments are welcome
