I am only 18 and losing my hair really fast
i had a full head of hair just 6 months ago...
my current status is probably Norwood 2-3 (my right temple is significantly worse than my left)
with a really bad thinning on the top of my head, also with some thinning on the sides!!
also my hair & face are constantly greasy, and i have a really bad acne on my forehead

i visited a dermatologist, i was hoping for some kind of consultation, but he just looked at my temples and said that it's a male pattern baldness and the typical bullshit how
i should get used to it, and how it is common etc.
which i kinda refuse to believe..

since i am a late bloomer (just like my dad was) i look really young
(imagine justin bieber with thinning & receeding hairline and u get the idea)
also my body is out of proportion and my head is huge, which makes me think, that theres absolutely no way
i can pull off the shaved look, atleast for now)

i don't know if this is common, but since my hairloss began, i am getting hairier and hairier!!
i mean the few past months, my body & facial hair increased dramatically.
i have really hairy legs, getting really hairy arms, developing some chest hair,
and i need to shave almost every day, which is really annoying considering the fact
that i used to shave once a week / 2 weeks) just a year ago... (i started shaving my face when i was 16)
i almost have more body hair than my father who's in his 40s and this is really pissing me off, because i dont want to end up looking like a werewolf.

now some family facts:
- my dad started "balding" when he was 28,
but it somehow stopped at Norwood 3.5 (just temples, his overall hair is thick) , he's now in his mid 40s and it's still the same
- my dad's father started losing his hair in his 50s, he's 75 now and probably Norwood 5
- my mom's father had a great head of thick hair all his life
- grand-grandfathers both full head of hair..

so i dont know why the hell i am losing my hair in such a young age...

I had a blood test done last week, and the Doctor said the results are OK

i don't really know what to do, i am going to some hair specialist next month so hopefully he'll tell me what's really going on..

and if it's really male pattern baldness, .. can u guys recommend me some treatment that will keep my hair on my head atleast for the next 2-4 years?
i don't want to start with propercia yet, as i am still young and still growing..

For an 18 year that is pretty aggressive. The best thing you can do is research certain treatments, like Rogaine, Nizoral and Finasteride, some people might think you're too young for finasteride but, all the studies done to prove it's effectiveness included 18 year olds and up so I wouldn't worry if you did decide to take it.

Remember, research. Good luck.

Looks like you have exactly what i had happen starting when i turned 19-20ish. Same pattern and losing hair that quickly. I didn't really jump on anything until a month ago and i wish i had started sooner. Fo someone so young i'm not jumping on rogain and everything, just the Nizoral and finasteride for now.. For this young its gonna be a long battle and rogain loses effectiveness after a few years. finasteride will keep what you have now, maybe even get you some back so get on that right away!

As for the hair growing everywhere else, sounds like just normal puberty especally if your hair loss has just run into over drive.
