I have been on finasteride for 4 months now (swapped from 1 to 1.25mg two weeks ago) and today I Iook down my chest and realize that the right side has no more chest hair. :shock: Taking a closer look you can still see hair everywhere but it is only really short. Almost looks like I lost everything there a while ago and it is growing back now. Anybody can tell me something about that?

DHT has the opposite effect on body hair and promotes growth. Quite a number of posters here have mentioned that their body hair decreased after beginning finasteride. I personally shed a ton of body hair about six months after starting finasteride. It's now a bit finer and lighter than it was before and I probably only have about half the chest hair I used to. I also had a couple small patches that used to grow on my back (not pretty) and those are completely gone now. That was a definite bonus!!
