This is kind of pathetic. Why would a man watch a video about male beauty with almost naked males presented??
And, btw, males are the "strong/tough sex", not the "beautiful sex".
I don't know, but young males of today simply are starting to behave like women, with this obsession about looks and beauty.

For the poster above: you were not in the game FOR WHAT?? For being a male model and posing in magazines?

I was never in the game for conforming to societies whims and waxing my chest hair, tinting my eyebrows, adopting designer stubble, having a six pack, and moisturising my ginger tea-bags. Even if I wanted to be like the nimrods in the video, even if I had hair I would never be deemed as traditionally handsome as I am too fair-skinned, and have a non-masculine face. Think Stone Cold(wrestler), that's me.

Women are supposed to be the beautiful sex, god knows with all the physiological crap they have to go through, they need to look attractive for a man to fertilise them. Men are disgusting. Sweaty, hairy, alpha-male jack offs.

Men are obviously more beautiful than women.

At least we appear natural in public.

Take away a woman's mask (her make-up) and watch her become ugly.

We don't behave like women. We want to look good. Everyone wants to look good.

But we have to do it just by getting out of bed and magically look fabulous.

Women can use push-up bras, make-up, fake nails, fake tits, fake hair, fake eyelashes and all of that is socially accepted.

A man covers one pimple with make-up and he's desperate, ridiculous and not a real man. Screw these double-standards.

You have a point, but we're supposed to "man-up". We are supposed to be the tough sex.
Yes, of course we must groom ourselves properly, in order to look decent, but not obsess about our looks.

Of course everyone wants to look good, why wouldn't they, but to want to look better than it's humanly possible, for example to get back to NW1 when you're NW6, and torment yourself everyday because you can't, i don't even want to say what that would qualify for...

The media/the hollywood etc has its part of fault for this obsession with looks. Look, even this evening some guy opened a topic about some actor casted/not casted in a movie.
The film actors are not, in any way, representative to the whole population.
The majority of normal people are normal, average looking.

Most beauty standards are impossible to reach anyway with the amount of Photoshop and surgeries these days.

IMO its awesome to have a NW1 hairline but, at the end of the day its just hair being brought to the front.
Its NOT your original hair.

You could just have used half the money on something more important than getting a NW1 hairline.

Yeah people judge you on your looks at FIRST SIGHT but, is it good to look like a 50 year old with NW1 hairline or just an average NW2 or 2.5 at about 50??

This whole problem starts with society labelling us as weird/different/outcast, right??
So why give them more reasons to doubt you when they know you were losing it and BAAM!! you got all your hair back

@Shookwun
Call me a hypocrite but your hairline looks awezome now.
Im just too confused to say anything clearly but your hair transplant result on your POF thread is legitimatelly awesome.
Hope its gonna suit your face and all those facial symetry thingies

Delusion. I agree with you on that.

Yet there are still people who believe that we should all aspire to be NW1 and that this way of thinking is somehow noble.

Shookwun comes to mind for example. For him it's a thick NW1 or nothing.

People like me who go back from NW5 to NW2.5 with 2000 grafts? Stupid, he thinks I should have stayed bald.

I don't know if Shookwun said that, it's a bit extreme but I do agree with him on density. If you don't have density and can't do a hairstyle (below Norwood 3 you can) then it really limits options. I don't think Shookwun advocates everyone must be Norwood 1 but basically post hair transplant you should be ideally be able to have a hairstyle - that's what people want to do. It comes down to people who have lost more hair willing to accept anything. Those closer to full heads know how it is to have hair. I guess this is why there are arguments on the forum, both balding groups at each extreme don't understand each other.

I agree with you that you shouldn't have stayed bald obviously, so that's good you done it. However, I don't see much difference between thin hair buzzed or bald shaved in my position or in the UK. You will say you have been treated better by society, hair loss is not detectable, frame for face e.t.c. But lack of hairstyle either way overall and here that would definitely look like balding.

My friend is British African and a doctor. He is thinning and currently buzzing it, he looks good shaven too but is starting medication and the main reason is so he can grow it out. He looks completely different and much better once he grows it out a bit, girls and guys have told him. So even a black guy who looks good shaven/buzzed is trying to grow it out.

Personally I would opt for a Norwood 2 line but everyone is different, what suits you, saving grafts e.t.c. I looked good with a Norwood 2 line, was 1.5 at most I reckon. There is a Norwood 1 50 years plus healthcare worker I know and he looks great with a salt and pepper look.

For me less is more and I like the subtle U shaped hairline look, plus I'm decent looking and it complements me. A flat straight hairline looks too uniform on me.

Who has told you that you are "decent looking"?.....apart from the man in the mirror.

So you would prefer to remain a bald/balding man to avoid having to explain to ppl how you got your hair back

You know how I explain to people how I got my hair back? I tell them I just wanted to have grown out hair again.

And they will believe that. A lot of people think I have just been shaving my head for all these years. NW1's are oblivious to the world of hair loss.

You have gone against the grain of who you are, which is a bald man. You are losing youre identity. You should of stayed bald and suffered like you were meant to. Character building.

They're too privileged to be bothered with rational thought about hair loss.

No, not privileged, they just have another cross to bear. Life is a zero sum game. We are not "entitled" to anything. The planet and the people in it owes us nothing. I will worm food soon anyway.

Really? They owe us nothing? Than why are we apparently owed ridicule and humiliation?

You make it sound like we don't even deserve respect.

I guess its the same as like finding "The one and only God"
It feels like crap when you have nothing to do so you search for a higher power that MIGHT be your creator.
Then you come into conflict with an another group of people who are not happy with your different opinion.

Then its bloody pointless war and then we try ro rejuvenate.
And then thier is another conflict, then war and repeat.
