GENERAL: Do How Does MesoHairâ„¢ Work?

MesoHairâ„¢ enhances the existing hair. The procedure consists of a series of four to six weekly, painless injections of vitamins, minerals, and DHT blockers directly into the mesoderm under the surface of the skin as close to the dying hair follicles as possible. Once-a-month maintenance therapy continues to enhance the existing hair.

And there is an article:
Beverly Hills Cosmetic Doctor Offers "MesoHair" For Preventing Hair Loss

Dr. Sam Assassa, Medical Director of Beverly Hills Aesthetics in Beverly Hills, CA, Rejuvenizes Hair Growth With Mesotherapy treatment

(PRWEB) December 8, 2005 -- About 40% of women around the world will suffer from thinning hair or hair loss, while 50% of men will experience some type of hair loss by age 50. Losing hair for women is like losing their “crowning gloryâ€￾ while men associate hair loss with loss of youth and sex appeal. Now there’s MesoHair, a series of virtually painless injections of vitamins, minerals, and DHT blockers directed into the scalp to effectively aid in hair re-growth in women experiencing certain types of hair loss and reversing male pattern baldness in men.

Sam Assassa M.D., Medical Director of Beverly Hills Aesthetics in Beverly Hills, CA, uses Mesotherapy in women experiencing post-partum hair loss and peri-menospausal or menopausal hair loss. In addition, Mesotherapy has elicited a good response in younger men experiencing early stages of male pattern baldness.

Originally a medical technique devised in 1952 by Frenchman Dr. Michel Pistor to treat such conditions as Rheumatology, Sports Traumatology, Infectious diseases, Vascular diseases and the improvement of circulation, Mesotherapy has subsequently been extremely successful in the treatment of aesthetic conditions most commonly spot fat reduction and the elimination of cellulite. Now, Dr. Assassa has found that Mesotherapy used as a prolonged treatment of a series of eight to twelve, monthly injections, should help both men and women with hair loss. Once-a-month maintenance therapy continues to enhance the existing hair.

According to Dr. Assassa, “Mesotherapy replaces the vitamins and minerals that the body loses as we age. The medications in Mesotherapy treatments cause an increase in blood circulation to the scalp area and stimulates the hair follicles.â€￾

MesoHair, through micro-injections delivers specially formulated FDA approved concoction under the scalp straight to the hair follicles. This mixture delivers long-acting neutralizing effects on the DHT hormone produced in the body, allowing for hairs to grow. An excess of the DHT (dehydrotestosterone) hormone causes hair loss.

Dr. Assassa stresses that this is not a cure for hair loss, but certainly a safe, simple and cost-effective option to treat certain conditions. As Dr. Assassa states, “MesoHair restoration therapy can in some cases eliminate the need for hair transplant.â€￾

lol I just think he looks cool. Yeah man I have never heard of this meso hair thing, sounds kinda bizzare to me, injecting vitamins and dht blockers into the surface of the skin? Certainly sounds plausable. Im not sure about the painless part though. I cant see how a needle is painless.

Hopefully someone else can help you out coz i really dont have a clue :dunno:

Seems like an interesting concept though, might work! :)

Some people say that it isn't hurt much, and that it is with local anaesthesia.

that looks like injecting some DHT inhibitors, without knowing HOW MUCH DHT will be really inhibited, together with a handful of meaningless vitamins.

"MesoHair restoration therapy can in some cases eliminate the need for hair transplant"

>how can that be ? even eliminating 100% of DHT will not regrow hair.

:thumbdown2:

In Bulgaria one injection costs 75 euro. In my case the dermatologist mixes dutasteride, minoxidil and some vitamins. So far I cannot say that I have any substantial improvement but I have just started. Also, the procedure is painless due to the anesthetics.
