Will concealers like Toppik hold if you also use styling products, or will they only adhear to non product styled hair?

I generally use a petroleum based pomade to hold the hair I have left in place because even if there isn't much left, it still gets unruly without any product, and because I preffer it to gels or hairspray. Will toppik stay on when the pomade is put in?

I may be wrong, and it does vary between styling products, but I haven't found anything that doesn't have a negative effect. Apparently using some conditioners with Toppik can stop it binding as well, so that's something to keep in mind.

How bad an effect it has does vary, personally I prefer a hair spray as I feel it leaves less of a coating and so has less of a negative impact. Certainly anything wet look/shiny/permanently wet is a BAD plan, that's a quick way to make a horrible mess in my experience.

The best way is to experiment, every product is different, so try a few in the privacy of your bathroom and find one that works for you.

If anyone else has found something that doesn't have a bad impact on fibre binding please let me know!

Well... I tried it... and after some trial and error... here is what I came up with....

Shower with Thicker Fuller Hair Revitalizing Shampoo and Weightless Conditioner. (I use this, and Nizoral, alternating)
Towel Dry your hair.
Apply Rogaine Foam (If you use it)
Let dry for a bit.
Apply Thicker Fuller Hair Instantly Thick Serum.
Apply Lucky 13 Devil Deluxe Hair pomade.
Style your hair and let it dry a little more.
NOW Apply the Toppik, and pat it down,

I found that if I apply the Toppik and then apply the pomade and style as reccomended and use the spray, too much of the Toppik comes out in the comb.

I usually apply a little bit of Toppik, then apply products and style, then apply further Toppik to finish the look. Again, experiment.

Hmm.. I hadn't heard of the Lucky 13 product before, might have to give that a try if it works well.

I also noticed this last couple of months that my hair is easier to manage now it's bloody freezing, and I barely needs to use much styling product, does anyone know why that is?
