The HUGE problem with topical spironolactone is that the bioavailability is low.
Creams have been tried with little success but I will see if the Italian study with topical spironolactone dissolved in ethanol is still around. I saw the pictures from that study years ago and virtually nobody make liquid spironolactone solutions and went the cream route. The particle size in the creams I think is just too large to penetrate intracellularly.
If anybody knows of a source of micronized spironolactone???
