Hello,

Do people have success when they use minoxidil 5% in their frontal hair/ or temples. Or should I just stick with the crown area.
Thanks

Official sources always say that it's for vertex use only and that "There has been no study proving it's effectiveness in other areas", or something along those lines. The word on the street though seems to be that it's simply because they never conducted studies on anywhere other than the crown. So I don't think there's really a definitive answer, but it seems like some people have had success with it on these forums while others, such as I, have unfortunately not.

minoxidil has been seen to work on all areas of the scalp. However, it does not seem to be as effective on frontal hairloss as it is on crown/vertex hairloss.

If you are already putting it on your crown i dont see what you have to lose by applying some to the front. using minoxidil and proscar i have seen regrowth at the front and sides....the only way you can know is by trying it.
