minoxidil 5 lotion vs dropper

Hi all,

I think I've encountered a bit of a problem. I've been experimenting with minoxidil 5 in the bottle for about 10 months now. It's good but I got my hands on it through... questionable means. Anyway, I recently got a propecia prescription, decided to also get an official minoxidil 5 prescription, and all was good- until I realized the minoxidil 5 on the prescription was for the lotion (I'm guessing this means the foam), not the liquid.

Is there a difference between the two? Should I even bother filling the prescription or should I go back and ask for the same bottles I've been using for the last 10 months? I don't really want to go back because it's not too convenient for me, but if it's a big difference I'll have no choice, since I don't want to jeopardize the results I"ve been seeing on my current regimen.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi,

Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. Does 5% only come in foam these days? I bought a one year-supply last November in the bottle (i.e. liquid) and now I need to ante up again... but is it different? I haven't read anything about that.

If it is, that's fine, but I wonder... if I switched to the foam TODAY, would my head have to "start over"? That would scare the lights out of me!

Any help or experience with this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.
