Dear, I'll try to make my story as short as possible:

35YO male.
July 2018 : Noticed hair thinning
August 2018 : Cause Stress. Start minoxidil 5% liquid
October 2018 : Stop minoxidil 5% liquid due to irritation. Switched to foam but immediately dropped after even heavier irritation
Februari 2019 : Scalp biopsy as my scalp was pinkish. Result possible Lichen planopilaris but unconclusive/inactive.
Feb - June 2019 : Coritisone cream and pills to counter pinkish skin. Helped a little.

Sep - Feb 2020 : Used laser helmet to counter pinkish skin. Helped a little.
June 2020 : Finally find hair specialist who said the skin condition was in remission and I had in fact male pattern baldness. Started minoxidil in a Trichosol vehicle (alcohol free, no irritation).
June 2020 - today : Using 5% minoxidil in Trichosol solution for a bit more than 6 months, 2 ml once per day (night).

Just for your reference, I am a diffuse thinner, see pic below.
If my daily shedding was at 100%. First 2 months of minoxidil use I'd say my shedding was higher at 150%. After those 2 months until today my shedding is at 60%.
I apply the minoxidil across the mid section of my head with parted hair and then also at the hairline.
The top of my head has seen no improvement.
The hairline has thinned out siginficantly. Which is stressing me out.

After 2.5y and 4 dermatologists and 1 specialist, I had finally the feeling I knew what it was. male pattern baldness.
I'm seeing a psychologist to remain calm, but I can use some good info.

I REALLY hope you can share your opinions on this :
- Am I a slow responder? Just hang in there?
- I always read that it will worsen before it gets better. Since I am thinning out now, could this be the case? But I'm already 6 months in, so weird.
- Does anyone have experience with Trichosol? Less potent vehicle maybe?
- My doctor mentions that once a day is very close to the same efficacy than twice a day... Any experience with this?

I'm considering asking my hair specialist for finasteride. At the very least topical, or perhaps even oral.

Thank you!
