Minoxidil expiration date question

They always build in a little cussion with experation dates. To make up for heat/ cold/ light etc. Rogaine sent to miami is going to experience very different conditions than one sent to juno. So they build in a little time into the experation date. It is very difficult to guess "how long is this PARTICULAR bottle of minoxidil going to last" 6 months to a year or more. but it gets iffy.
Heat is very bad for minoxidl. It destabilizes the molecule and turns into something that is no longer effective because it is NOT minoxidl.
I would say that as long as your minoxidl was not exposed to heat and/or strong sunlight then it should be good for a while. Be very careful with heat though. Extreme cold might be bad, too, but I am guessing that it would have to be below freezing to affect this substance in any way. Heat is the real enemy here, so don't put for minoxidl near the dryer or anything like that.
You should not blow dry your hair with minoxidl on it.
