Minoxidil, foam or liquid?

Looking to start using minoxidil to try and gain back some of the recession i’m in the early stages of experiencing. I have long, pretty thick hair that I wear back, so i’m wondering whats the best solution to buy? I know that foam has ease of use but also know it might not absorb properly because of my long hair, but am concerned that the liquid may make my hair really greasy. I’m also aware of the theory that liquid absorbs into the pores better and is therefor more effective, what do you all think?

Any help would be appreciated. I’ll attach a pic of my hair so you know what I mean.

You have too much hair to use minoxidil imo, it will just get caught in your hair and not much will be absorbed.

If you really want to use it I suggest you get a buzz cut, but from what I can see, your hair looks pretty good and you don't need it at the moment.

Minoxidil costs relatively little. Use it all over, comb it through and then massage in. It works great; all over the scalp is most protective, liquid or foam.

I prefer foam, what’s your current full regime? As minoxidil alone will not help try adding Ketaconazole or Regenepure DR and maybe Finasteride.

I far prefer foam as a topical since it lacks the oily consistency and build-up of the topical version with the dropper.
