minoxidil giving headaches - common?

I do apply alot of foam on twice a day, im 100% this is whats causing it as it happens straight after. I know i can simply just reduce the amount but has anyone had any similar effects or know of any?

What's "a lot of foam"? Stick to half a cup or 3/4 a cup (like i do) and it shoud be fine. Never experienced headaches with minoxidil.

Due to my hair being quite long, its difficult to get the foam in behind the hairline, so i use the liquid afterwards. I normally use a full cap full of foam and liquid after, i probbaly use too much liquid and i just think the rogaine is to much. There is no other cuase for the head ache. so i put it down to that. I will lower everything and see what happens.

Yes, lower the dose and for more effectiveness you should keep your hair short.
