I've been using 12.5% minoxidil near enough everyday for over a year and six months ago my doctor mentioned I had a slightly fast pulse but my heart sounds perfectly fine, but nothing came of it, he obviously wasn't worried. I didn't mention about being on minoxidil at the time as I wasn't paying attention to side effects. However the last couple of weeks I noticed I still have a fast pulse usually around 85 at rest. Upon research I found a common side effect of minoxidil is a fast pulse, but my question is, my pulse is constantly around 85 BPM, not just the period immediately after applying, could it still be minoxidil causing it? I usually apply straight out the shower, which I've read can increase the amount you absorb and sometimes even use a bit of rogaine 5% at random times regardless of whether I've already used the 12.5. I going to try and cut out these silly amounts, do you think this could explain my fast pulse? Just to add I'm 19 been using minoxidil since a couple of months before my 18th, property is for about 7 months, good results particularly from applying minoxidil, not surprising the amount I've used!
