Minoxidil ineffective with silicone shampoos (Vive Pro)

I just recently started using minoxodil and have been using L'Oreal Vive Men's Pro for a while now. I heard that since the shampoo contains silicone, minoxidil will be ineffective. Is this true?

not true, I've been using minoxidil and l'oreal vive pro and have been getting results.

Not true as far as I can tell---I've used that shampoo in conjunction with minoxidil and it still worked.

Where did you hear that?

I read it in another thread, did a search and found a second one. I'm new to minoxidil, so maybe I'm just getting the beginner's jitters.
