this is research done by dr farjo the university of bradford
from what i can see is that minoxidil seems to inhibit the catagen and telogen phases of hair growth in an insulin-free medium but otherwise it has little or no effect on hair growth in basic culture medium
it also shows that minoxidil works by opening the ATP potassium channel and that blocking the atp potassium channel with Tolbutamide has a detrimental effect on hair growth
biology is my weakest science and i am a little confused by this, does a basic culture medium have insulin in it then
and doesn't this imply that minoxidil only works on people who don't have insulin
is this forum full of diabetics? :dunno:
