minoxidil or Nioxin?

My stylist told me to try Nioxin scalp therapy before I use Rogaine ... she is a straight shooter and told me that many of her clients (including her husband) use it and have seen very good results.

Supposedly, nioxin removed DHT from the scalp and conditions the follicles for growth/regrowth...

she did @ her last salon and said she could order it, but said i might find it cheaper on their site or on the web...

Thought so. There is no comparison between the two. Rogaine grows hair, nioxin just cleans it. Nice shampoo, but that's it.

This should not be a dilema at all. If you want to regrow hair you go for rogaine.

Yes I have used Nioxin, you can view my regimen for which ones I used. I haven't had much luck with many shampoo's and Nioxin works really well for me but as for as re growth goes I don't think it helps with it, I would use minoxidil with the nioxin. Before I started using Nioxin, my scalp would allways breakout from the use of minoxidil but since I combined the two I no longer have issues.

i use Nizoral about 4 times a week ... i havent had the 'scalp burn' in a while, but its coming back recently... maybe its stress ... maybe DHT ...

im open to using the "system 2" kit they have out if it will help.

If i try to use Nizoral, Nioxin's system, and minoxidil, how do it "rotate" each? Nioxin has a shampoo, a conditioner, and a scalp treatment in the kit.

how do you use each effectively?
