Hey all, I have been on minoxidil foam for almost 2 weeks now and have developed some odd soreness. It started out with my right chest, above the nipple and then on the side of my tricep. It is not muscle pain but more of a skin pain?! Anyways it is now on both sides of my chest and triceps and now on both sides of my back below my shoulder blades! Like I said it is not muscle pain but more of a pain like someone has been pinching my skin. Anyone heard of this before? Thanks.

Alright, I figured out that the pain feels exactly like a sunburn. The problem is I haven't been out in the sun! Anyways, any takers? Sound familiar to anyone?

That does not sound like any sides from minoxidil I have ever heard. I don't mean to doubt you but this sounds, to me, like something else unrelated to minoxidil.

Thanks Timi,

I just used babel fish to translate the symptoms from german to english. Wow, there certainly are a ton more symptoms on that site listed for minoxidil. than on the Rogaine site! It even says some people get gyno from minoxidil! You guys should have a look at that site.

Well obviously you can always stop for a week or two and see what happens. But there is always going to be sides from whatever you take, no matter what medication, that they need to list potentially to cover themselves. Its in my opinion that what you experienced is unrelated to minoxidil but thats only because I've been on the forum for quite some time and don't remember anyone claiming sides that you had as a result from minoxidil. I suppose there is a first time for everything but let us know what you decide to do and if you are very concerned, as always, see a doctor! :) good luck.

don't have any problem with minoxidil at all. Though, the first 2 weeks, my scalp was kinda itchy. think it's because i sweat a lot in the day and been staying over at friends' house. So i got no time to shampoo my hair. as for now, no problem with minoxidil...

is the pain continuous? or its just painful at some point of time?

Actually the sun burn pain has now completely dissapeared! After I posted the first message it gradually dissapreared over the next 5 days. Thanks for the input!
