Minoxidil pimples [acne]

I've been using minoxodil for about 2 months(consistent 90% of the time) and now,along with velus hair (in a NW1 area so they might just be facial hair ...I don't know) I have lots of pimples,but only where I apply minoxidil. I'm 16 so I got acne on my face but only now,after 2 months of aplying minoxidil,I started having pimples on my forehead.

What should I do to combat them?

1) try and make sure the min doesn't drip down to your forehead, aplply less liquid to combat this, or after applying like down on a bed on your back, the minoxidil will naturally drain away to the back of your head, and wait till its dried.

2) or try minoxidil with a different carrier, aka minus proplyene glycol which might be in this weird case, giving you acne.

Firstly, are you sure you have male pattern baldness? You are using minoxidil, which is kind of strong drug and maybe you don´t even have male pattern baldness.

So about acne after minoxidil. I started minoxidil etc. only month ago, but I am searching info about male pattern baldness, minoxidil, finasteride etc. for 1 year. I have read some stories about acne after minoxidil. As warner8 wrote you should avoid minoxidil dripping on your forehead. If it drip clean it with soap.

If you want to fight your pimples: 1) Visit your dermatologist. 2)Clean and moisturize your face, 3)Cut sugar added beverages and junk food (I had acne till 20 years old. My dermalogist helped me a lot and everytime I drink some coke and eat unhealthy sh*t (Like McD..) I have 2-3 pimples next morning)
