Yes, that is currently accepted theory. Put more simply, you have to keep using all accepted drug treatments or you will ultimately lose any hair preserved.

Not so with transplants, but that is a different conversation.

that sucks...so if someone (being a diffuse thinner) stopped applying minoxidil after 2 years of use they would shed to complete baldness?

their baldness would return to the state it should currently be, minoxidil only works if you use it for the rest of your life

It deserves to be said, ALL current non-surgical treatments only work as long as you use them. You stop, you drop!

There is no cure for male pattern baldness short of death!

I think it's safe to conclude that male pattern baldness continues even after death. In fact, I think it accelerates. Better keep 'em while you can.

I hear you but I never found Minoxidil to be that much of an issue to use.

Death? What is this and does it work? Where can I find it online and cheap?

I won't use Death. I understand it stops working the minute you stop putting it on your head!

I think the actual name is "Death Goo". The instructions are as follows:

Apply liberally to scalp and wait. Results can vary depending on religious beliefs.

I hear it can be ordered online. And cheap.
