Minoxidil/Regaine side effect

I'm using minoxidil 5% twice a day. Been using it for 2 and a half months but in the past week I've been getting itching all over my body.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it a side effect of Minoxidil or is it likely to be something else?

I can't give you much valuable insight as I don't use it. But itching of the scalp is a common side effect that many users observe. Whole body itching though..not so sure.

Give it another 2 weeks otherwise get off the minoxidil and see if that helps

You might be applying an incorrect dose

I wasn't thinking one night and decided I was going to literally douse my head in minoxidil. My eyes literally closed up from being so puffy and I broke out in hives everywhere. You must follow the recommended dose. I thought "meh, it's just Rogaine, what harm could it do?". Wrong. It's actually got pretty severe side effects if you overdo it. Plenty of people on Google have written about using too much in one application and what happened to them.
