I haven't thought about that just because the tablets of oral minoxidil(Loniten) may give a higher concentration of minoxidil to the shampoo, than the liquid of minoxidil.
I find that rather unlikely. As we all know, Rogaine has a concentration of 5% minoxidil. So what is the "concentration" of minoxidil in a 5 mg Loniten tablet?
Well, that depends on what the weight of the tablet is....I don't have a Loniten tablet here to measure directly with my digital scale, but I'm guessing that it probably weights 500 mg. If that's correct, then the percentage of minoxidil in Loniten would be 5 / 500 = 1%, which is only one-fifth the concentration of minoxidil in Rogaine liquid. You'd be better off adding the Rogaine liquid to your shampoo instead of the tablets, because a given volume of the liquid would contain more minoxidil than the same volume of the tablets.
BTW, even MORE effective would be to put a quantity of the liquid into a shallow pan, and let the alcohol evaporate from the mixture. You would increase the minoxidil concentration even further!

But if it's needed 2400 pills to make a 8oz shampoo of 5% minoxidil concentration that will cost a lot, I may try to add some liquid of minoxidil.
Yeah, no sh*t!
A quantity of the liquid that supplies 5 mg of minoxidil would be 1/10 mL, which according to my rough estimates (assuming that a 60 mL bottle of generic Rogaine would be maybe $10), would cost about 1.7 cents! How much does a 5 mg tablet of Loniten cost?
