Anyone know some good minoxidil product that is more friendly for users with seborrhea problems? Every tell that there are far less reports with Foam but there is still alcohol in it.

Rogaine Foam Active Ingredients: Minoxidil 5% w/v (without propellent) (Hair regrowth treatment for men) Other Ingredients: Butane, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Cetyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Isobutane, Lactic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Propane, Purified Water, SD Alcohol 40-B, Stearyl Alcohol.

I also checked Dr.Lee site i know that he have wide rage of minoxidil product and i found 12.5% Xandrox Lotion that there is no PG or alcohol or maybe i'm wrong :)

12.5% Xandrox Lotion Active Ingredients: Quantity and Ingredients: 30 mL. An opaque, white lotion formulated with 12.5% minoxidil, (30 mg minoxidil / gm) 5% azelaic acid (50 mg minoxidil / gm) and an absorption enhancer, benzyl nicotinate in a lotion base of soothing skin emollients. 30 mL of 12.5% Xandrox Lotion is approximately a 1 month supply when 1mL is applied /day.

I really suck at chemistry but can someone explain me about SD Alcohol 40-B and benzyl nicotinate are these things with same category like propylene glycol, ethyl alcohol and sodium laurate sulfate. How much harmfull can be SD Alcohol 40-B and benzyl nicotinate to my seborrhea problem.

benzyl nicotinate is a B6 derivative.

SD Alcohol 40B is basically ethyl alcohol.

Sorry i'm really noob when chemistry comes but can benzyl nicotinate make irritation on the skin like propylene glycol/sodium laurate sulfate?

Can someone explain me the difference between SD Alcohol 40B and Propylene Glycol? My skin get's irritated by proplyne glycol is that SD Alcohol 40B have same 'power' like PG or it's much more 'weaker' like alcohol from PG

SD Alcohol 40B is an ethanol-based alcohol. PG is a petroleum derivative. If you get reactions from ethyl alcohol, you may get a reaction from SD Alcohol 40B. However, SD Alcohol 40B is supposed to be less of an irritant... I think.

I don't know because the product that i used got both ethyl alcohol and PG, it's kinda strange because that SD Alcohol 40B is in Rogaine Foam, Tricomin, Revivogen. Anyone with sebohronea having problems with this products?
