finasteride user for 10+ years. Started generic minoxidil foam in January '18 after suddenly losing ground in front (crown is ok) for 6 months. Didn't mind the foam, no sides, never experienced a shed, never noticed anything. However after 6 months my hair was too long to successfully apply the foam. Shifted to liquid and shedding has increased and been constant since. Not drastic, but noticeable in the shower and throughout the day.
I know some will say switching was a bad idea. Others might say I wasn't responding to the foam and I am responding to the liquid, hence the shed. But, the shed has persisted for almost four months - am I screwed? Is the liquid minoxidil making things worse instead of better?
